Black and White

These are my Steve Madden black and white polka dot shoes. They are so cute with the bows on the toes! I wear them with my black and white striped shirt and the combination looks well together. Who cares that I mixed dots and stripes?

  2. There really never is a certain time period that is the most common. It is usually bits and pieces from different eras. In the past year things like turbans from the 30s, fringe from the 70s, and bold prints from the 60s have all had comebacks. But to answer your question directly I would have to say the 1950s styles have been the most common. The longer skirts, ladylike silhouettes, custome jewelry, cute cardigans and structured bags have all been very "in" lately and have been seen on the runways. The change of times has changed the longer, fuller, skirts of the 50s by making the patterns bolder. Ladylike pieces are now worn with tougher accessories and adding a vintage pin or necklace reinvents the outfit. Vintage is trendy because it is different and one of kind in some cases. You can express your self in style.
